So tragedy struck this week...Wait a sec, let's not call it tragedy.
Two amazing men, one, an unequalled presence in our history books, the other, an unforgettable presence for us film watchers, earned their angel wings.
Nelson Mandela, ring a bell? The worldwide icon and man behind the most successful equality struggle, passed away today, December 5th 2013, at the ripe age of 95. I'm personally glad he got to see himself honored and played impeccably well by Idris Elba in the new film, Long Walk to Freedom. The news is quite saddening but all the same, we should remain thankful that Heaven has one more witty angel!
Paul Walker, famous for his Brian O'Conner role in the Fast and Furious Franchise also passed away. He went to Heaven at the age of 40, on Saturday, November 30th 2013. I was very traumatized as I had just finished swooning over the goodness of Fast and Furious 6 and anticipating the 7th installment. To be honest, after hearing the news, I searched him on Google Images and his smiley faces made me seriously much more devastated. The only consolation is that we now have an angel in Heaven, swift, speedy and big-hearted (He was leaving his charity's event when the unthinkable happened).
In their memories, please watch, learn and enjoy firstly from Mandela's amazing approach to racial segregation as South Africa's president in Invictus.
And Paul Walker's amazing thespian-ship in Varsity Blues.
Good night guys.
