The 71st Golden Globes: The Winners and The Shockers

It all started out with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's incredible hosting abilities...then, Jennifer Lawrence was announced the first winner of the night!

A lot of us were shocked. I for one was and I strongly believe Lupita deserved it. We'll see how the Academy Awards go eventually. People were also shocked that August: Osage County's and screen legend, Meryl Streep didn't win a statuette but lost out to American Hustle's Amy Adams.

Blue is The Warmest Colour didn't take the Best Foreign Film statuette, Andy Samberg, my absolute fave, won!!!! He edged out Jim Parsons! Good shocker.

Bryan Cranston and Breaking Bad were also honoured to practically everyone's delight. High time

The 71st Golden Globes:The Red Carpet, The Best and Worst!

The Golden Globes ceremony is taking place right now in the Beverly Hilton and we're still buzzing about what everyone was wearing!

We saw flair, the unusual and hotness (in the form of Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio, especially) on the red carpet. My personal faves were Lupita Nyong'o, the slayer, Kaley Cuoco, Jessica Chastain, Sofia Vergara and Maria Menounos....

Below are some of the stand-out looks from this night's tapis-rouge festivities:

My Best looks of the night. Maria Menounos, Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong'o, Sofia Vergara, Taylor Swift. Amaze-balls!

Caitlin Fitzgerald, Amber Heard and Michelle Dockery

Anna Gunn, Louise Roe and Maria Menounos

Two pregnant belles! Olivia Wilde and Kerry Washington
Lena Dunham, Melissa Rauch and Emilia Clarke

Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie and Aubrey Plaza

Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence and Sandra Bullock

Julia Roberts, Juliana Marguiles and Lily Rabe

Zooey Deschanel, Monica Potter and Emma Watson

Chiwetel Ejiofor and girlfriend, Channing and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Aaron Eckhart, Bradley Cooper and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting

Paula Patton, Amy Adams and Reese Witherspoon

And my worst looks, sorry, were:
Hayden Panettiere (When January Jones did that hair-do, she managed to look okay. Not working)
Uma Thurman (If Heidi Klum can't pull it off, so can't you!)
Jennifer Lawrence (Prom seats: White chair covers with multiple sashes

What do you think? Your best? Your worst?

The 2014 Golden Globes: Red Carpet First Looks

...And Louise Roe chose the red dress over the others! This Monique Lhuillier number looks amazing on her and she complements it with Chopard diamonds.

Extra's Maria Menounos also shares a snap of her BCBG Max Azria dress which I'm ogling right now. The colour, the silhouette, everything's just right!

The kids are alright too!
Modern Family's adorable Aubrey Lily, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez

The men as well.

The Good Wife's dapper Josh Charles

The 2014 Golden Globes: The Preparations

The 71st Golden Globes ceremony is underway right now and will be broadcast live by NBC from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

In the meantime, while stars glam up and prepare acceptance speeches, the HFPA shared these snaps of preparations via the official Golden Globes Instagram account.

Seating Arrangement: Can you spot Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorcese's seats?
The Zero Dark Thirty star poses with her seating card at the rehearsal

The stage is set!
I see Meryl Streep, Taylor Swift and Harvey Weinstein sitting close. Do you?

Louise Roe also asked fans what she should wear (There were actually three dresses, but these two were my faves and I prefer the red one! We'll just have to wait and see)

Guiliana Rancic and Shaun Robinson tweeted their preparations too!

Julia Louis-Dreyfuss also let us know what her feet will be wearing!
